Honda’s NC700 Range, The Future of Motorcycling?
Not that long ago people wondered if Honda had lost their way a little. Their bike range had become a series of evolutions rather than revolutions, and other big names like BMW and Ducati were stealing all the limelight.
Then the VFR1200F hit and the first peek at where the company’s design philosophy was heading. The bike had a polarizing effect on fans who either loved or hated it, but Honda stuck to its guns and the design influence filtered down to new models such as the Crossrunner, Crosstourer, and the new CBR range.
Honda all of a sudden had revitalised their production line and opened the door for new riders to take advantage of its entry level machines. Now Honda has brought us the next step in its line up and quite possiblily something that could make biking very attractive for the masses. The NC700 range is technically advanced, attractive, practical, sips fuel (78 mpg) which is so important these days, and the perfect commuter machine. Add the scooter-esc storage space in the fake tank and the bikes are a commuters dream come true. Whether coming back to biking, or stepping up to a larger ride after running in your new license, the NC700 could be the machine for you.
With a street bike, the NC700s, and tougher looking weekend tourer version, the NC700x, the range should be a big hit for Honda and possibly for biking in general.

Shouldn’t we all look forward to the commute?
Your journey to work, or anywhere else for that matter, should be another opportunity to explore the unknown.
Meet the new NC700 range. Two motorcycles built out of the same philosophy, with two very different personalities.
Both challenge the convention that you have to choose between practicality and performance. They share the same innovative Honda technology our bikes have become known for, including Anti-lock Combined Braking System (C-ABS) and Second Generation Dual Clutch Transmission.
The NC700X
The adventure seeking NC700X takes its inspiration from the best elements of an off-road motorcycle and fuses a high performance engine, handling and higher riding position with the commuter comfort and versatility of an on-road bike. The outcome is a confident, engaging ride, sure to transform even the most unremarkable journeys into something exciting.
The NC700S
Much like its counterpart, the NC700S shares many of the same practical features, like secure internal storage space is large enough for a full-face helmet. All the more unusual in a bike with the NC700S’s stripped back, naked styling. Designed to bring fun to the road, the result is a smooth, uncomplicated ride that’s sure to turn heads.
